Spring Garden Party!

We know Mother Nature hasn’t been warming up to spring this past month, and with the snow slowly melting from the forecast, we thought we would bring some spring inspiration to brighten your day! Taking a look back at our Spring Garden Party on March 21st, the CC Design Team had the pleasure of hosting a mix n’mingle to welcome the spring season! The Cory Christopher Design Studio was a hustle and a bustle, as guests came throughout the night to partake in an assortment of activities! Not only did we have a terrarium station for guests to play in the dirt, but we also had the oh so popular floral crown station for all to participate and even take home! We had the CC Team show first hand how we build our famous floral crowns. This was one activity no one wanted to be left out. W...

Fleurs de Villes

What can get better than combining fresh florals and fashion? We can’t think of anything better which is why, when Tina Barkley from Fleurs de Villes asked us to be a part of this fashion extravaganza, we couldn’t say no! It’s was great opportunity for us designers to get extremely creative and have some fun building high fashion master pieces out of fresh florals or in our case, moss and succulents.

Did you happen to catch the team and I, on Global Edmonton this morning with Lorraine Mansbridge? If not, no worries we have a full update of our exciting morning for all of our inspiring readers at home! Easter Time with Friends!

As we prepare for the arrival of the Easter Bunny and gather with family and friends, who better to help us set our Easter inspired table then our good friend Kari Skelton along with her most adorable son Wyatt. Setting ones table doesn’t have to be a production and before running to the nearest store I wanted to share my designer tips for an Easter table everyone will love! Sometimes its okay to forgo the table cloth especially if you are planning to utilize chargers or placemats. In our case, I did want a table runner and decided to use left over kraft paper from my Christmas gift wrapping to set the scene. Lets be honest, sometimes you don’t have enough plates or glasses, in the same style, for everyone attending dinner. So why not mix and match your setting instead of running out to th...

A weekend at the JPL PJ Party!

This past March,  the Cory Christopher Design Team had a blast attending and participating in the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge PJ Party! Hosted by Kari Skelton, with special guest Jillian Harris, we were inspired by all the wonderful and amazing guests. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend our weekend, sipping on the most delicious cocktails and indulging in the yummiest of foods, all while taking in those spectacular views! The team was busy working away early Friday morning, building and setting the scene in the JPL’s  ballroom for their tropical themed PJ Party. We had so much fun incorporating tropical inspiration into the design, bringing the room alive and capturing the Bachelorette in Paradise theme. Using colourful birds of paradise flowers and lush greenery, we brightene...

PARKSHOW Edmonton

This past weekend, the Cory Christopher design team had the pleasure of attending and participating in PARKSHOW Edmonton and ShowRoom Market.  The three day event located at the Epcor Tower, began with their fabulous ShowRoom Market packed with talented Canadian entrepreneurs showcasing one of a kind apparel, accessories, art and apothecary brands. The team used their creative juices by making and hanging over 100 Kokodema’s for the runway! Not only did it add an earthy feel to the URBAN JUNGLE theme of the event but it also added a unique Cory Christopher flare to the show! For the VIP BOOTH sponsored by Londonderry, we incorporated moss walls around the venue adding some colour to the industrial feel of the building and providing a perfect photo backdrop!   Our Cory Christophe...

Welcoming Christmas!

I love Christmas! Actually, that might be an understatement. I am most likely a long lost relative of the Claus’. For me there is an undeniable magic about the holiday season. When people gather together to celebrate kindness and generosity, when we take a moment to be grateful for the bounty of the year. My deep passion for love Christmas emulates from my parents who shared their enthusiasm and delight for the season with my brother and I every year. This year, my holiday season has been filled with incredible festive projects. It started off inspiring over 1500 guests at the 28th annual Christmas in November at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge where I joined culinary and decorating superstars as we shared our passion for the holiday season. Not only did I share my designer tips, my team and...
