Easter Time with Friends!

As we prepare for the arrival of the Easter Bunny and gather with family and friends, who better to help us set our Easter inspired table then our good friend Kari Skelton along with her most adorable son Wyatt. Setting ones table doesn’t have to be a production and before running to the nearest store I wanted to share my designer tips for an Easter table everyone will love!

Sometimes its okay to forgo the table cloth especially if you are planning to utilize chargers or placemats. In our case, I did want a table runner and decided to use left over kraft paper from my Christmas gift wrapping to set the scene.

Lets be honest, sometimes you don’t have enough plates or glasses, in the same style, for everyone attending dinner. So why not mix and match your setting instead of running out to the store to buy a new set? I personally love the colour and depth each glass and plate gives to the table!

Next, why not head to your fridge and pull out some eggs to add as decor to the table? Kari managed to find blue eggs to mix amongst our brown from a local farmer. We placed them into a bowl filled with moss. Remember you don’t always have to be matchy matchy when it comes to your bowls. Instead collect bowls and containers all in the same colour family to create visual synergy. In our case, we used blue and teal to add a pop of colour! Of course, we couldn’t resist adding mini eggs to our table. A little snack before the main course is always a good idea!

No gathering is complete without a spring inspired cocktail! Use this opportunity to create a little visual vignette on top of a dresser or piece of furniture. For a finishing touch, we placed our Easter Bounty floral to our spring inspired vignette.

No Cory Christopher table is complete without a stunning floral arrangement and a few potted plants to truly celebrate the Easter and spring season. If you don’t feel like creating your own arrangement, our design team would be more than happy to build one of our Easter Surprises for your table.

Lastly, we placed a personalized Spring Egg Place Card to each setting inviting guests to take their seat at the table. Who wouldn’t love an egg bursting with adorable spring flowers? It’s all about the little details that your guest will fondly remember!

Of course, we can’t forget the little ones in our life or the kids table. Using our handy dandy kraft paper, we cut out Easter egg shapes from sponges to stamp onto the paper. Kari helped us accessorize with some adorable finds. Check out her blog for a full shopping list!

We hope you feel inspired to set your own Easter table and enjoy your time with close family and friends!
