The Opportunity
We’re seeking experienced Freelance Floral Designers, Installation Specialists, and Seasonal Installation Specialists to join our team for projects throughout the year.
Whether your expertise lies in floral design, event installations, holiday decorating, large-scale seasonal displays or immersive creative production, we’re looking for professionals who can confidently contribute to premium projects while maintaining the exceptional standards our clients have come to expect.
This opportunity offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, including luxury weddings, corporate events, Christmas installations, hotel activations, retail displays, bespoke florals and large-scale seasonal experiences.

What You’ll Do
Floral Design & Seasonal Decorating
- Design and install premium floral arrangements and botanical compositions for weddings, events, hospitality projects, and corporate environments.
- Assist with large-scale seasonal installations, including Christmas, fall, spring, and custom décor experiences.
- Install décor, greenery, florals, lighting, holiday décor, and custom design elements with precision and care.
- Execute designs that accurately reflect the creative vision while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Production & Installation
- Assist with project preparation, including floral processing, inventory organization, packing, staging, and loading.
- Support the installation and dismantle of weddings, events, seasonal installations, and hospitality activations.
- Collaborate with Project Leads, Designers, Floral Teams, and fellow creative professionals to execute projects efficiently and professionally.
- Adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining quality and professionalism.
Professional Standards
- Represent Cory Christopher Design with professionalism while working alongside clients, venues, vendors, and project partners.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces in both the studio and on-site.
- Foster a collaborative environment while consistently delivering exceptional workmanship and supporting fellow professionals.
Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in floral design, seasonal decorating, event production, visual merchandising, hospitality styling, or a related creative industry.
- Experience working on luxury weddings, corporate events, hospitality environments, seasonal installations, or high-end creative projects.
A strong understanding of floral mechanics, installation techniques, and production workflows. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing beautiful work.
- A positive attitude and the ability to perform well in fast-paced environments.
- The ability to interpret design direction while contributing creatively and professionally.
Experience with any of the following is considered an asset:
- Large-scale floral installations
- Christmas and seasonal decorating
- Faux botanical installations
- Visual merchandising
- Custom fabrication
- Hospitality or retail installations
- Operating lifts or working at heights
- Driving cargo vans or cube trucks
Candidates MUST be willing and able to:
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods.
- Travel to project locations throughout Alberta, with occasional opportunities to travel beyond the province.
- Stand, crouch, bend and work on their feet for long periods of time
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Possess excellent spoken English and general communication skills
- Maintain a professional appearance while representing the Cory Christopher brand.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (the nature of event prep and installation means that a single shift may be split over multiple locations).
